Every client story matters to me, but this one is personal. MEC Miami Ministries is my church family, and I also serve there as Information Technology Administrator. So this spotlight comes from someone who has seen the work up close, from the inside.

The challenge: five decades of ministry, one growing network
MEC began in 1971 as a small storefront ministry. Today it is a multi-campus network. With that growth comes a real administrative load: policies to maintain, leaders to credential, finances to report, history to preserve, and a congregation that expects to find accurate information online.
Like many churches, MEC carried much of that work through dedicated people and paper records. The mission was strong. The infrastructure needed to catch up.
Give the ministry the same organized foundation a well-run organization has — so leaders can focus on people, not paperwork.
What we built together
- A redesigned website. mec-miami.org was rebuilt with a unified design, leadership pages, location history, and current information.
- Written policies. Child Protection, Food Safety, Board Governance, Emergency Response, a Youth Ministry Volunteer Handbook, and the CROWNED Senior Program Plan.
- A church administration dashboard. One central place to see what is happening across the ministry.
- An ordination and license registry. Candidates, credentials, and status tracked in one organized system.
- Financial reporting. Organized giving records, card statements, and subscription tracking.
- Preserving the legacy. A founders' legacy book documenting the ministry's history and its leaders.
Where MEC is now
MEC Miami Ministries now has written policies to follow, a central place for records, and a website that tells its story accurately. The history of its founder and leaders is documented for the next generation, not left to memory.
The work continues, because administration is never "finished." But the foundation is in place.
Could your ministry use the same foundation?
If your church is carrying growth on the shoulders of a few faithful people, structure can help. At LaFaries Mortimer LLC, we help ministries organize, document, and modernize — so the mission can keep growing.
